Who founded Verbaprompt? Verbaprompt was founded by Ann Baechel with the support of many medical and community professionals who share the same concerns and visions. Mrs. Baechel has over 20 years experience working in healthcare with specialties in human services and emergency management.

What have you accomplished? After a pilot project and test marketing over a period of two years, Verbaprompt was formed in 1999. The pilot project validated our belief that our service would increase medication compliance and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations and re-medications. Therefore we were able to reduce cost for health services and the customer. Verbaprompt has been servicing the Traumatic Brain Injured, Elderly and Mental Health communities since June 2000.

What other services does Verbaprompt offer? Verbaprompt also offers TravelMed, a service that provides subscribers with access to personal emergency medical information whenever and wherever it is needed. The availability of this service allows subscribers to ensure that essential personal medical information can always be available to healthcare providers to improve patient care in emergency situations where the information would otherwise not be available. This service can be useful to business travelers, students studying abroad, emergency responders, traveling nurses, boaters, and the elderly.

What plans are you working on for the future? We are negotiating with New York State Medicaid and Medicare to offer this service to those in most need. We are also developing relationships with Health Maintenance Organizations and Health Insurance Companies.
